The Perisher Snowy Mountains of Music is all this and so much more. The beats of the world are going to drum up a storm at the Snowies this June long weekend. Feel like some fiddle? – Get some authentic Celtic with Riogh. Want to dance with a wild gypsy? – The Barons of Tang (far right) will mix thrash and punk with gypsy music and blow your mind. Last year over 40cm of snow fell over the June last weekend making the festival a very special Winter music wonderland. From early to late the 2010 festival is going to wake up Winter with a smorgasboard of flavours from across the world. Kids are free with a paying adult and from an enchanting story to the zany and crazy there’s certainly lots on for the little and big. For those who are literati at heart enter an original poem in the festival’s Broken Ski Competition and if you have the gift of the gab be sure to make your way to the live poetry slam at the Sundeck to be in the running to win the Snowy Cup!
