Do you spend way too much time on Facebook & Twitter? Are you good at writing, love listening to live music and are aged between 18-25? Well this opportunity is for you!

 

The Perisher Snowy Mountains of Music festival is now looking for someone to be the Official Festival Blogger to manage their Facebook and Twitter page as well as run a live blog on the festival website during the festival. It’s a competition so in order to qualify you must live in the Eden-Monaro region and be aged between 18-25.

 

What do you get?

Ok it’s an unpaid job, but what you do get is a free 4 day festival pass, 3 nights accommodation & breakfast in the snow! Plus you get to hang out with bands, get loads of experience, and a month’s mentorship with Bettina Richter who is the Publicist of the Festival and has run a number of very successful online blogs herself!

 

How do you enter?

In 200 words or less tell us about yourself, which of the festival’s bands you’d like to interview, and 3 questions you’d like to ask them. Pre-requisites?

You have to be aged between 18-25 years old and live in the Eden-Monaro region. That means you can live on the south coast from Moruya & Narooma through to Merimbula and Eden and inland including towns like Queanbeyan, Bega, Braidwood, Cooma, Dalgety, Adaminaby and Jindabyne. You need to be able to attend the festival on the June long weekend (11-14) and also have your own computer and internet access. Being able to take good pics and use a video camera would be good too.

 

The Perisher Snowy Mountains of Music is Australia’s only music festival in the snow and will pack over 40 awesome acts and 130 fantastic artists over 10 venues into the snow on the June long weekend -11-14 June. From early to late the 2010 festival is going to wake up Winter with a smorgasboard of flavours from across the world. There’s world, roots, blues, gypsy, reggae, dancehall, klezmer, traditional, acoustic, bluegrass, folk, celtic, funk, rockabilly, spoken word, circus and even a bit of magic.
